While this young woman carries her basket of produce to the market place, something has briefly caught her attention. As an artist I purposed to capture an ordinary moment in an ordinary activity, but at the same time reveal this young woman's character, uniqueness, and yes, even magnificence.

In this frozen moment Isabel reveals not only her lovely gracefulness, but most importantly, her inner strength, pride, and dignity. This sculpture is an encouragement to me to not just "see" a person, but to look beyond the surface and recognize their inner uniqueness.
