Mother's Day

Having given birth to three children, I was compelled to capture those intimate moments when a mother first holds her newborn baby. She delights in the perfection of each little finger and toe. I created the sense of intimacy by sculpting a nest effect and undercutting the sculpture so it is as if the two are suspended by the moment.
